The Mouthpiece is an essential part of the instrument and has several functions.
1. It should hold the reed safely.
2. It should allow the reed to vibrate in a particular way.
3. It is also responsible for some of the resistance the player will feel.
4. It has a big influence on the intonation.
5. It also has an influence on the sound.
