F# resonance mechanism
The left hand F# can become stuffy on some basses. This is particularly true when the instrument seals very well. This increases the amount of air which needs to come out of the first open tone hole. The F# tone hole is not dimensioned for handling that. All other notes will have a great full and open sound but the F# sounds stuffy. The F# resonance mechanism eliminates this problem.
