For the first time in this range, the required operations for creating good acoustics, especially the moulding and drilling of the bore, are performed entirely in France and Germany to ensure a consistent result.
Prodiges new bore, inspired by the renowned E 13 model, allows an unprecedented ease of play and projection of sound. The intervals between notes are pitch-perfect and balanced.
Its bell has also been entirely reworked in order to optimise projection. Our innovation: a textured bore.
It is now possible for a young musician to learn to play on a professional-sounding clarinet at a reasonable price.

The Buffet Crampon Prodige is the new student instrument and is the successor of the legendary B12.

The large bore reduces the resistance and makes it very suitable for new or young players. The intonation is very stable from piano to fortissimo.

NewLohff & Pfeiffer offers now the Prodige as well as the Premium with full LP-Pro-setup. This makes it very reliable and can withstand outdoor use, rough care or maintenance neglect. (to a degree)

The Prodige is a perfect beginner instrument, reliable, well in tune and easy to maintain.

The Prodige is offered in a nickel-plated as well as a Silver-plated version in some markets. We definitely prefer and recommend the silverplated one. The plating lasts much longer, it prevents the risk of getting nickel allergies and silver works antibacterial.
