Range

The range of an instrument describes the tonal span which can be covered from the lowest to the highest note. The lowest one will always be the one played when all tone holes are closed.

Lohff & Pfeiffer offers extensions, which can be built onto or can be added for some instruments, on demand. Ask for specific details.

The upper range depends on the ability of the player. They depend on special fingerings to produce so called flageolets and the airspeed and pressure a player can produce. Therefore, we only mention the lowest note in our range description, found on this webpage.
